Riyadh, KSA – 16 February 2026 – Following the remarkable success of its inaugural edition, Anghami (NASDAQ: ANGH), in partnership with the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission (LPTC), proudly announces the launch of SAJJEL 2, the leading and largest literary podcast competition in the Arab region.
Building on the momentum of the first season, SAJJEL 2 serves as a creative launchpad for voices exploring literary themes through innovative audio formats. This initiative continues its mission to discover and empower Saudi talent in storytelling, literary performance, and cultural content creation.
Participants will undergo a structured journey including specialized training in audio, visual, and literary production, ensuring the content produced meets the highest industry standards. Beyond the competition, SAJJEL 2 connects emerging creators with cultural and media organizations, fostering professional growth and long-term sustainability within the Kingdom’s creative economy.
To further accelerate their professional journey, the top five winners will receive cash prizes totaling over SAR 90,000, along with support in producing their own podcast series in collaboration with Anghami. Winners can choose between producing 10 professional Vodcast episodes or 30 specialized audio podcast episodes, ensuring their literary work meets the highest technical standards.
Commenting on the launch, Eddy Maroun, Co-Founder of Anghami, said: “The first season of SAJJEL revealed an incredible depth of talent among Saudi storytellers. For Season 2, we are expanding this platform to give even more creators the tools to bring their literary visions to life and reach a global audience through the power of Anghami.”
Dr. Abdullatif Abdulaziz Al Wasel, CEO of the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission, added: “The second edition of the ‘Sajjel’ initiative comes as a continuation of the Commission’s efforts to nurture local talent and provide a stimulating environment for creativity within the literature and publishing sector. Our partnership with Anghami aims to harness digital technologies to serve Arabic literary content, reaching broader horizons that align with the aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030.“
