In these uncertain and isolated times, Anghami wants to bring fun content to their users, whether on the app or out of the app. The main thing this content needs to deliver on is – making people feel better.
People will be spending a lot more time at home, and streaming will certainly be part of their behaviour. With this in mind, Anghami has pushed a few initiatives to keep users entertained, but also social.
‘When at Home’ Content
Anghami have created a ‘When at Home’ section so users have a range of content they can access during these times at home. These include;
- Playlists
- Working from home music
- Staying relaxed music
- Working out music
- Gaming music
- Podcats to help people keep productive
Anghami, unlike other streaming services, also allows users to be more social. So within this section, social features like AI-enabled mixtapes between friends will be brought forward.
The section can be found here
Anghami House Sessions
Just because you’re at home, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to attend concerts right? Every evening, at 7 pm Beirut Time, Anghami will allow users to tune in to watch two artists perform live, back to back, on their Instagram page. From couch to couch, entertainment just got intimate. Users will be able to engage with artists as well as requests songs and meet other people who are watching the live content.

Useful Content to combat Corona
In an attempt to bring more awareness over hand hygiene and Coronavirus prevention, Anghami took advantage of their lyrics database and allowed the users to generate the handwashing poster based on their favourite song lyrics.
The page detects an interesting chunk of lyrics in a song and displays them with the steps to wash your hands.
